Set the first page size:

  • If you know the size of the captured page, set the original size.
  • If the size of the captured document is unknown, enter the dimensions of the intended printout.

Based on the page size set on the left, Copistar has calculated the resolution of the captured page in dots per inch (dpi). Use this value as a reference for the current capture quality and suitability for printing.

Higher dpi means better output print quality.

Calculated capture resolution:

100 dpi

NOTE: If a document application allows you to adjust the zoom factor (Adobe Reader, MS Word....), you can use it to control the capture quality.

Higher zoom factor yields higher dpi value, therefore more details and better printing quality. 100-200 dpi is sufficient to get a decent quality printout. If the calculated value does not suit your needs, go back to the previous step, adjust the zoom factor in your application and repeat the document pre-flight.
